All the major religions of the world conflict with science. They all make claims of the suspension of natural laws by the intervention of supernatural magic. This is in direct conflict with science – physical theories are not ignored for temporary periods, especially not on the say of the humans who wrote all the ancient holy texts.

Adherents to these religions cling to their fantasies due to wishful thinking and fear. Psychologically they need a daddy figure which portrays them as immature.
Right Bob. In the same way that Atheists need to feel as though they are home alone for the ‘weekend’. Much much more mature. Couple that with what seems to me a sort of unending desire to show how much smarter they think they are and some atheists remind me a lot of my little sister when she was about 10.
This post is yet another attempt to equate science, which may only observe and define the natural world, to religion which largely keeps itself dealing with the supernatural side of things.
Assume there is a supernatural and a natural side to the world. Both religion and science would be wrong to present themselves as the only truth for the whole thing. That.s what happens.
Religion does not largely keep itself dealing with the supernatural side of things. This is another of your stupid nonsense pronouncements. Bullshit squared, as usual and expected from you.
I was under the impression you were no longer reading my posts.
But if you have reversed yourself I will of course be more than happy to endure your senseless attacks.
I said largely, I should have course extended that to science as well. You always seem intent on extending science to every corner of experience, whether or not there is or can be any investigation done.
“Assume there is a supernatural and a natural side to the world.”
Translation:
“Assume magic is real.”
Why would a sane person do that?
Roughly 90%+ of the world is insane? That’s roughly the block of people that openly believe in something that transcends the observable world.
Where do you think we would be today if scientists simply had abandoned work for which there was no proof at the time? The pages of history are littered with those who were ridiculed for holding theories that didn’t match up with what the larger scientific community held as true.
