I’ve often wondered at the frequency of 7-game series, especially in baseball, and wonder if the frequency matches the statistical expectation. Otherwise my cynical self would say, “Well, with seven games you get more fans paying more ticket prices, and you get more TV coverage and more ad money!” Has anyone ever done an analysis?
