It might be worth that much to the author but certainly not that much to potential readers unless forced to buy it for a course.

Got me through 4 years.
I was going to order it used on Amazon once UMA lied to me about having used copies left at the bookstore, but that still would have run me $180+. However, you, sir, have just saved me another $40.
History books are some of the most expensive out there, in most cases surpassing my biology friends book costs, abebooks saved me bazillions.
This book is just a simple chemistry text. It’s the most expensive I’ve seen in my college career.
