Everest: Beyond the Limit

Discovery has a new season of Everest: Beyond the Limit. I’ve been out of the TV loop for awhile now so I’m not sure if this season has just started, but it’s the first I’ve seen of it. Given that I just saw a guy get his knee dislocated and then popped back in place on the mountain, I suspect this season will be as good as the last two.

  1. I was really disappointed with the first few episodes. It feels like a different show.

    Not sure what happened.

  2. I agree 100%. Previous seasons of Everest were more about the relationships b/t the people, and a lot more footage following while they were on the trails. Now it”s a lot of narration about the mountain not so much the people. I miss being right there when someone would finally reach camp, you felt the sense of accomplishment with them – now they skip a whole day and just tell you what time they reported in.This season seems A LOT different. Definitely doesn’t hold my interest which is so dissappointing – I was really looking forward to the show.

  3. I did enjoy the previous seasons a bit more, but it is interesting to learn specifically about the mountain a lot. It takes a lot of the drama out of it to hear that Mountaineer X died without knowing anything about him, but I guess they want a faster pace this time around.
