It is also the least expensive. It can break down though.
I always thought it was the employment of logic and reason. Silly me.
I would include those are fundamental aspects of philosophy, not as tools – at least in this context.
Logic and reason are worth nothing without a grounding in fact. If the world don’t work the way you think it does your thought experiment will ultimately fail.
