We should do away with term limits for presidents. I would very much like to see intelligent people like Bill Clinton get elected again and again.

Michael holds a BA in Biology with a minor in Philosophy. He likes to spend his free time hiking and defending science, though not usually at the same time. Contrary to popular (but not scientific) belief, the positive and appropriate perception of science is undermined by religion, alternative medicine, the U.S. education system, and most science journalists.

I still like the idea of limiting politicians to a certain number of spoken words in public before their term ends.
Seriously though, doing away with term limits would allow us to keep competent people in their positions, but leaving power in one persons hands too long is a bad idea. I think 8 years is plenty.
Yes, I agree. 8 years is enough. I think we need term limits on congress. There should also be an IQ test to be a congress person. If you don’t have at least a 50, you should not be able to run, but Texas, Mississippi and Alabama would need an exemption, otherwise they would not have anyone in congress.
By that standard there goes the Mass delegation and the majority of California. I assume you have heard Pelosi speak.
