I get really curious when I hear people ignorantly declare that atheists are this or that, that we all hold these or those sort of values. If such a normative statement can be made, then I presume we could also make a statement as to the nature and values of those who don’t believe in leprechauns.

So tell me, theists. Tell me in no uncertain terms just what it is that unites a-leprechaunists. Are they moral? Immoral? Amoral? What common value do they all hold?

The fact that Santorum keeps himself in the running by saying the craziest shit is telling of the Republican Party.

The greatest Presidents of the 20th century:

3. Clinton: He oversaw the greatest economic boom. Ever.

2. Dwight Eisenhower: He created an incredible infrastructure that has been an integral fact in American economic dominance. It is only now that any country (China) is outdoing what the U.S. did in the 1950’s – and they’re copying our model.

1. FDR: For starters, how about just about everything he did?

There’s nothing more exciting than evolution.

“I would challenge anyone here to think of a question upon which we once had a scientific answer, however inadequate, but for which now the best answer is a religious one.”

About 243,000 jobs were created in January, or roughly 113,00 more than were expected. The November and December jobs reports have been revised to reflect 60,000 more jobs than were originally thought to have been added. The report for 2011 has been revised to include 200,000 more jobs than were first thought. Unemployment has ticked down to 8.3%.

No word yet on how the Republicans are going to revamp their plan to reverse course and sabotage the economy for political gain.

If it wasn’t for all the things they say and believe and do, I really think the Republicans could have a respectable party on their hands.

I think what I find most disturbing about libertarianism is just how often its adherents lack a social conscience. We should always make our moral and societal decisions on a rational basis, but I think there’s something wrong with a person who can’t be persuaded to even think about certain issues on an emotional basis.

The Republicans seem really upset over Romney’s low tax rate. I suspect they’ll take time in the next debate to highlight the income disparity between the rich and really rich.

I assume this is fake, but it should be real.
