I have had comments set to allow for nesting. That means it is possible to click “reply” below a given comment and leave another comment, this time having it indent so as to indicate a response. I hate this. I only have it because when I transferred everything to my other blog, that was a default setting and then people used it like crazy when I was getting a ton of hits. Now that that is all over, I am switching everything back. This will result in some funky looking responses in a few places.

No, this can’t be.
Quoting can be done by using HTML around “blockquote”. So use this symbol < and its mirror symbol around "blockquote". Then do the same thing with a backslash to close it.
[blockquote] What you're quoting [/blockquote]
The difference, again, being the use of < and its mirror. (If I use both, they won't show up.)
