All too often the pursuit of nothing but pleasure ends either:
In a hotel bathroom with white powder all over their nose and their pants around their ankles
or
As a movie.
I think “pleasure” is the wrong word. I am not sure what the right word is.
I’m sure it is.
Assuming its it is the best word we have, it makes a perfect justification for religion and atheism at the same time.
I would argue that a drug-riddled world is not the most pleasurable world. Nor is the pursuit of individual pleasure the most pleasurable path.
