Thought of the day

The fact is that we all get one life. Extracting the most possible pleasure from it – something which does not inherently equal selfishness – is the only sensible course.

  1. All too often the pursuit of nothing but pleasure ends either:

In a hotel bathroom with white powder all over their nose and their pants around their ankles

    or

    As a movie.

  2. I think “pleasure” is the wrong word. I am not sure what the right word is.

  3. I’m sure it is.

Assuming its it is the best word we have, it makes a perfect justification for religion and atheism at the same time.

  4. I would argue that a drug-riddled world is not the most pleasurable world. Nor is the pursuit of individual pleasure the most pleasurable path.
