I sent off the check for my coming expedition up Aconcagua, the highest peak in the Andes. It was a good chunk of change, but I don’t think I’m going to miss it when I’m standing on top of the southern hemisphere.

For the Sake of Science 
At some point I hope you attempt a technical climb of some kind.
That day will come. I hear there are ice climbs on Katahdin for reasonable rates in the winter.
I’m not much for ice climbing, but if you were to catch me on a good day in the summer, I would be happy to make sure you don’t die climbing one of the faces on Katahdin in the summer. Getting in is a slight bitch, but so it is with your mother also.
And I have gear.
