One of the great accomplishments of the New Atheists has been to tear down the idea that faith is a good thing. Pay attention to anyone involved in religious debates that has become familiar with what atheists have been saying. They do all they can to distance themselves from faith – something the Bible pushes as a good thing. (It’s almost like people cherry-pick what they want to take from their holy books, huh?) This is largely due to the New Atheist emphasis on the need for evidence.
Of course, go to any church with an average congregation that is unfamiliar with these sort of debates and it will not be difficult to find people who still highly value faith. That’s sort of religion’s thing.

I bet I’ve had this as a Thought of the day in the past, but it’s still true: There is not a single good argument for the existence of God.

Religious rights? What a stupid concept. There are no such things as “religious rights”. You don’t get to exercise any special rights simply because you follow a religion. We all have the same rights, regardless of what holy book you claim to have read. I see no religious rights, but I do see far too many religious wrongs.

If you find it too difficult to put like-weights back with like-weights after finishing your workout, fuck you. Go to another gym.

I saw this on Facebook today:
Some of God’s greatest gifts are unanswered prayers
What a convenient, seemingly never-ending gift-giver God is.

Why anyone would want a Jack Russell is beyond me. It has all the uncoolness of a small dog combined with constant, annoying energy. Give me a Golden Retriever or Lab. Ya know, one of those real dogs.

If Toshiba knows their hard drives suck, why don’t they do something about it?
Also, I ironically backed up all my files using Carbonite and the coupon code “Rush” (as in Rush Limbaugh) for two months of free service. I’m not above a good deal.

Listen, BlackBerry Facebook Mobile, I appreciate that this most recent update is a real update that has actually vastly improve things, but seriously, stop adding my number to my profile every time something changes. If I have deleted my number the past 6 times you updated, then why would things change this 7th time?
Come on.

I have some issues with the movie Signs. First, why would an alien race capable of inter-stellar space travel need to rely upon crop circles for navigation? Second, why would an alien race capable of inter-stellar space travel not come equipped with gear that protects them from their deadly nemesis water? Third, why would an alien race capable of inter-stellar space travel choose a planet that is 70% water if that is something which kills them?
