Old people should be banned from Facebook. That doesn’t necessarily mean anyone over a certain age; that isn’t my definition of “oldness”. But the site certainly was better when it was only open to college students and therefore had a higher percentage of technologically competent people.

Now you are showing a form of bigotry, Michael. The lame just can’t help themselves. There are plenty of technologically incompetent college students too.
Hhhhmm…I’m old…not technologically competent (I do know how to replace a typewriter ribbon and run a mimeograph machine) Does that mean I should just lie around and watch Law and Order instead of fumbling around and sending my misspelled messages over the Internet?
Facebook might have been designed for college users….Velcro was designed for space Travel…Does that mean Velcro was better for space rather than everyday use???
Let the “technologically competent” design their own website and restrict it to “technogically competent” users…save the rest of us old farts from Law and Order…..
I’m just saying Facebook was far better when it required a college email address. It isn’t my fault old people can’t handle simple things like putting their responses to people in the right place instead of their own status updates.
I’m a facebook user….in fact put your post on my facebook page to get responses to your assertion that old people have ruined facebook…..I still don’t know how to link other postings or photographs onto facebook…am waiting for some “Technologically competent” facebook users to come by and teach me.
